Do I need a scaffold licence on a private road?
A highway licence is only needed when the scaffold stands on a public pavement or road, which Surrey County Council licenses in Virginia Water. Private estate roads are not public highway, but the estate may have its own rules, so check with the estate office too.
Can you scaffold a house with a complicated roof?

We plan where the scaffold stands at the survey and spread its load with base plates and sole boards on paving, lawn or gravel. Tell us about anything delicate, such as new paving, planting or lighting, and we will work around it.
