Which council issues scaffold licences in Ascot?
It depends which side of the border you are on. Ascot, Sunninghill, South Ascot and Sunningdale are in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, while most of North Ascot and Winkfield are in Bracknell Forest. A licence is only needed if the scaffold stands on the pavement or road, and we will tell you at the survey whether yours does.
Can you scaffold a large house with a complicated roof?
Yes. Big houses with steep pitches, dormers, gables and tall chimneys need a scaffold planned around the building rather than a standard layout. We survey the house, set the scaffold out around the roofline with a platform at every stack that needs work, and adapt it as the job progresses.
Do you offer temporary roofs in Ascot?
Yes. A temporary roof covers the house while the roof is off, so re-roofs, loft conversions and extensions can carry on in wet weather and the rooms below stay dry. Each one is designed for the building and the loads it must carry, including wind.
Will the scaffold damage my garden or driveway?
We plan where the scaffold stands at the survey, and spread its load with base plates and sole boards on paving, lawn or gravel. Tell us about anything delicate, such as new paving or planting, and we will work around it.
